Completed in 1987, and one of the oldest condominiums in Kuala Lumpur, Bangsar Puteri is a freehold property located on Jalan Medang Serai, Bukit Bandaraya, in an affluent residential area called Bangsar. It is about 4 kilometers away from central Kuala Lumpur. It is a stone’s throw away from the Bangsar Shopping Centre and also walking distance to other newer condominiums such as Sri Penaga, Menaga Bangsar, Sri Kasturina and Desa Bangsar Ria.
Bangsar Puteri is located in a prime area where malls, bars, pubs and medial centres are within a short drive range.
Despite its age, Bangsar Puteri’s facilities are never out of date. Residents have access to the following facilities:
- Swimming pool
- Tennis court
- Squash court
- Barbecue area
- Covered parking
- Chinese restaurant (Bangsar Venicia; no pork)
- Laundry and housekeeping services
- Chantelle Ladies Hairdresser
- KDT Academy (private members’ club)
- Residents’ bookstore
- 24-hour security
It seems that the Bangsar vicinity is going to have another facelift when the planned development of the land parcel between Jalan Bangsar and Jalan Maarof materializes. It is said that the owner of the 20-acre parcel, Pelaburan Hartanah Bhd (PHB), submitted a masterplan to the KL City Hall to build a high-end integrated commercial mixed development in the land which once housed the Unilever factory.
Besides that, KL Sentral, which is a few kilometers away from Bangsar Puteri will also unfold a handful of development projects that include a hotel, a mall that would connect the Monorail to the LRT station, and an office tower.
However, concerns about the traffic being more congested in connection with these developments have been voiced out.

Given its prime location in the flourishing Bangsar area, Bangsar Puteri’s selling price is relatively low. Based on recent search in local property portals, the asking price for a 1,700 sqf unit averages at RM850,000 while a 1,800 sqf Menara Bangsar unit would cost over RM1 million. However, with very little expected new launches and upcoming developments in the area, Bangsar will probably see an increase in occupancy rate in the next few years. Therefore, an increase in real property prices may also be expected.
