A testament to the ever growing real estate industry of Kuala Lumpur is its extension towards suburban areas of the city. One such township that had investors buzzing is Bandar Seri Putra, located in Bangi, Selangor. It is a self-contained neighbourhood spanning 898 acres of freehold land offering a mix of commercial and residential units alongside recreational facilities.
An Up and Coming Lifestyle Enclave
A thriving enclave in its own right, Bandar Seri Putra houses about 19,000 residents and neighbours to other popular townships including Taman Bukit Puteri and Bandar Baru Bangi amongst others. Also referred by many as just Seri Putra, the township is a jewel project by Bangi Heights Development, a subsidiary of UM Land. Just like the developer’s other township ventures including the Bandar Seri Alam in Johor and Suasana Bangsar in KL, Seri Putra displays a tradermark quality destined for a bright future.
With a massive land that can accommodate up to 35,000 residents, there is more room for new residential developments for the township. And one of the latest projects to rise in Bandar Seri Putra is Putra Satu – a high-rise apartment development spanning 8.9 acre and offering a total of 505 units.
In line with the township’s aspirations to become a lifestyle enclave, Putra Satu embodies a distinction that welcomes the blend of nature and modern lifestyle. More than providing typical apartment spaces, the development comes with condo-style facilities while embracing a low density concept amidst the magical whisper of nature.
Choices and the Price Tag
There are seven layout designs to choose from with built-p ranging measuring from 854 to 1,224 sq.ft. Units also vary according to the number rooms – from 2+1 bedrooms to 3+1 bedrooms alongside 2 and 3 bathrooms respectively. In other words, there is an ideal unit for everyone including young couples, professionals, small and growing families.
Price for Putra Satu units start from RM350,000 targeted at young families which was launched October 2013. To confirm if that is indeed a fair price for the locale, use our price valuation guide which you can download for free.

All units are privileged with satellite TVs and broadband connection. Ample Amenities & Easy Access
Considered as a self-contained neighbourhood, Putra Satu is conveniently served by a host of nearby amenities. Within the vicinity are ample choices of schools, clinics, banks, retail shops and even a police station. Lifestyle amenities also abound especially at neighbouring townships such as Nilai and Cyberjaya where business and commercial centres are located.
The township itself also has its own commercial hub where shopping, entertainment and leisure are met. Within this area is the SP Retail Centre offering a myriad of restaurants, F&B outlets and boutiques. In addition, the Putra Mahkota Toll Plaza is in close proximity hence more choices to satisfy both essentials and luxuries.
Adding more allure to life in this suburban township is excellent connectivity. Easy access to Putra Satu is provided for by Putra Mahkota Interchange where you are linked to KL-Seremban Highway. The route allows residents to easily reach KLIA and Putrajaya in just a short drive.
What We Think
Though units at Putra Satu are designed for young and growing families, it didn’ stop individual investors to tap the township for future gains and returns. Bandar Seri Putra, the township in Bangi where Putra Satu is nestled in, has shown great potential for capital appreciation. To better illustrate, take the example of a semi-detached unit within the enclave which was priced at RM368,000 in 2004. Fast forward to today, a new unit of similar layout and type now sells RM927,000 onwards. We don’t need to do the math to see the stark difference in price.
It only shows that the township will continue to blossom in the coming years and along with it is Putra Satu. For an apartment unit with a minimum price tag of RM350,000, it really does look like a good deal. Though the smallest unit has a modest built-up, there are bigger and spacious units for those who prefer it. All in all, it’s a reasonable investment poised to grow together with the township.
