It’s no secret how the “loft” concept in apartments has become very, very attractive to designers, creative, and fashionistas everywhere in the world—living in one can really, really be ultra-stylish. Super-stylish, in fact, to the point that it has risen in numbers since 2011, and seen in every hip and urban districts, i.e., New York, Manhattan, San Francisco, Japan, and Melbourne. Time magazine even published an article on how loft apartments have been killing it in the real estate industry and has become “the bright spot in real estate”—read the entertaining and informative article in full here.
It’s with pleasure that we introduce The Loft, located at Jalan Ara (also where the Nomad Residences are), in the hip and modern district of Bangsar. With only 15 units, this loft apartment is truly eye-candy for yuppies and singles who would appreciate a little (actually, a lot) of luxury combined with the modern facilities required to make living easier and much more comfortable.
Layout and Construction
Mammoth Empire Development has built a property that features very spacious units. Built-up areas are measured at 3,340 square feet for units. Built on freehold land, the loft apartment has a trendy and modern cube design, and boasts of detailed landscaping to make a very cosy setting and environment.
Facilities, Amenities, and So Much More
Aside from its tasteful exteriors, the Loft Bangsar doesn’t disappoint when it comes to facilities, either. Its location alone is enough a reason to be pleased—bustling Bangsar is becoming one of Kuala Lumpur’s popular destinations for entertainment and fun. “Boring” can never be a word that may be included in the Bangsar vocabulary—as nightspots, clubs, malls, restaurants, and international fast-food chains line the area. Mamak enthusiasts and food lovers would love the location—who wouldn’t want a comforting cup of teh tarik after a 4-hour drinking marathon at the nearest pub?!
The area is becoming populated with more and more expats every year, thus allowing Bangsar to become that go-to location for a relaxing, good time. For a person who can deftly balance work and play, this apartment is definitely for you.
The apartment also gives residents the privileges of a cafeteria, a sauna, a swimming pool, a gymnasium, a barbecue area (perfect for those endless parties that don’t seem to stop), and private access to lifts. It is also serviced by a 24-hour security team.
Market and Pricing Trends
Since its completion in 2008, market prices seem to be stable. Its unit start-up price per square feet was listed at RM850 back in 2008, gradually increasing to hit the “magical” level of RM1,000 in mid 2009. November 2010 to March 2012 saw its price playing within the RM930 to RM990 range. Prices were flat mostly for 2012 with minor fluctuations, but since early this year, its current asking price is listed to start from RM900 PSF.
Bangsar—The Place to Be
Bangsar is definitely becoming a preferred address among many locals and expats — there’s a continued trend of condominiums being built around the area, although at a much slower pace now. Apartment complexes and condominiums are coming in from different directions, such as The Palmyra Bangsar and One Menerung — and one can never deny how busy the district is. Going to the city is not a problem, as the SPRINT Highway and Mahameru Highway can take you to and from the city anytime. There’s also the option of taking Jalan Maarof and Jalan Bangsar to take you to the KLCC district, as well as other affluent neighbourhoods, such as Petaling Jaya and Damansara Utama. One has to bear with the Bangsar traffic jams during busy hours, though—but thinking it through, I guess KL citizens have been used to it for a long time now, so does it really matter?! 🙂

The Loft Bangsar is good for singles, yuppies, and businessmen (who became rich during their mid-20s) and have enough money to live in an established apartment in an established place. Its pricing trend throughout the years suggest how it appreciates continuously, but then again this is generally true for Bangsar properties (demand has been consistently high with very little to no new launches in the recent years). To find yourself a bargain, you’ll need to look for a unit which is priced BELOW market value. We’ll show you how – use this little guide that we have prepared for you.
